What do we do when our desired goals, which we’ve actively been pursuing, don’t seem to be getting any nearer, or we’ve run out of ideas of what to do and anxiousness starts to set it?
Relax!
I don’t say this lightly as it’s not always an easy thing to do. But, haven’t you ever taken your mind off a problem or a challenge and suddenly and escape route comes to mind? This happens as our subconscious mind operates best when we are relaxed. When we don’t fight for an answer they do tend to flow more easily.
So how do we relax?
- Take a relaxing shower or bath,
- Go for a stroll and smell the air,
- Sit somewhere in nature,
- Meditate,
- Play putt putt,
- Visit a Gallery or Museum,
- Step away from the thing that is stressing you out, like your computer and cell phone.
For us to relax, it should be done away from any devices that are able to dictate our attention i.e. TV, computer, cell phones and tablets, and magazines and newspapers.
It should also be something where we connect with ourselves in a free and easy way. Being in nature always helps.
More often than not we will return less stressed and with an idea of how to move forward. Then the journey can continue, hopefully with a stress-less feeling.
