How do artists go about creating?

One of the reasons some feel that they're not creative is because they're not a published author or don't have a picture hanging in a gallery. To dispel that myth I speak with artist Gordon Ros of @ideacircus1965 about;

his daily routine when it comes to creating,
and his opinion on how creativity and leadership skills are connected

Not often do I have pictutes taken of me while I'm taking pictures. And how is this for a classic. Corporate and social media pictures taken of 2 clients from the comfort of a chair... in the middle of a street.

Sometimes it feels like we're trying to walk through treacle or swimming through quicksand but when we do get through it, look back - we will notice what we've been through, how far we've come, and how much closer we are to our destination...⁠

It's OUR unique journey so it's no use comparing it to anyone else's

For hours she glided gently through the clear water, looking for her catch.

A leader works towards achieving the vision along with the team. An artist leads the way in showing the world their unique expression. Both so similar except for how they are labeled. ⁠

“Leadership is the capacity to translate a vision into reality…which is exactly what creativity is.”

The connection between acting as a leader or doing something creative is very similar - translating a vision or an idea into reality. Both need a vision, both need steps in place to achieve it, and both need to act as leaders to achieve the desired outcome.

This picture was taken at the famous Pasteis de Belem. A lone baker works to create the tasteful vision of the very famous Portuguese tart. It all started out as flour eggs and custard and ended up as a warm, memorable delicacy in my mouth. Such vision.

Even though we can be inspired to start something new, it's only once the journey begins - once we're physically involved with it, brainstorming ideas, believing that it can be achieved, that the inspiration kicks in to get us to the end.
